Vamped Up Black Denim Boilersuit
One of the things that excites me the most about re-imagining clothing is that you’re reinventing it’s destiny.
This maternity wear boiler suit had so much potential, really good quality denim but due to it being for pregnancy the shaping made it look like you were wearing a huge nappy/diaper. Using remnants of past projects, I started changing the easy bits like the pockets, and put godets in the trouser legs. Major reconstruction was required on the waistband, putting large darts in the front and back to create a more streamlined shape but I wanted to maintain the oversized look to the top part. The PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE is the vintage beaded yoke on the back
